Ever notice that the more sugar you consume, the more you crave it? It’s one reason experts say that if you’re trying to lose weight, cutting out soda—even diet soda—is a smart move.
“The sweeteners used in diet sodas are so much sweeter than regular sugars that it alters your taste buds,” says Linda Lee, MD, director of the Johns Hopkins Integrative Medicine and Digestive Center. “You begin to crave sweets and believe that other foods that are less sweet are no longer satisfying because your taste buds are now used to that intense sweetness.”
Saying no to soda can have a domino effect, making it easier to cut out other bad-for-you foods. That kind of domino effect is the idea behind Sharecare’s Make a Change Challenge.

I stopped all diet sodas…..
Garden vegetables are coming in and I am making soups, and just serve them cooked.
I plan to do more exercise this coming week.

Squats is my choice of exercise for the coming week. In sets of 10. I will do as many as I can without overtireing myself. I have COPD — a pacemaker– which make it more of a challenge.
