2 Great Under-10-Minute Workouts

Ah, vacation. With all the lolling on the beach, the dining out, the sleeping late, who has time to exercise? You do! Sharecare fitness experts bring you two terrific workouts that take less than 10 minutes each. Sneak one in simply by rolling out of bed at 8:50 instead of 9:00 AM!

  • The yoga-inspired workout. Mehmet Oz, MD, keeps his body strong and firm by doing this 7-minute yoga-esque routine on most mornings. Follow along as Dr. Oz demonstrates with help from Elite Trainer Joel Harper. Bonus: It’ll get you energized for a day of sightseeing (or a game of beach paddle ball).
  • The circuit-style workout. Looking to torch a few more calories while you tone up? This fast-paced routine from Sharecare fitness expert Mel Mueller will do the trick in just a smidge longer than it takes to brew your morning coffee (click “More” under her answer to view the video). The workout does require a couple of pieces of equipment, but you can make some easy substitutions: For the cones, use a hand towel or simply imagine a line on the ground. For the dumbbells, use two large, full water bottles.

Do one of these quickie routines each day, sneak in a bit of walking here and there, and you’ll go a long way toward balancing out all that beach sitting and ice cream eating. Bon voyage!
