1. Squats
Here’s a quick way to tone up: a twist on the basic squat—the single-leg version. Follow along as it’s demonstrated here by NASM Elite Trainer Melissa Hatton.

2. Walking lunges
NASM Elite Trainer Laura Marthaler loves this move for leg toning. The proper form is very important in the walking lunge, Marthaler says. “Make sure your front knee doesn’t go too far forward while you’re bending that knee. It should not go farther forward than the toes of that foot.”
