With four children in my house, my wife and I are well aware of the importance of dental care (that’s over 100 kids’ teeth that need care!). That’s why the American Dental Association’s (ADA) National Children’s Dental Health Month—designed to raise awareness about the importance of good dental health for all children, youth and teens—is close to our hearts. And it’s why I’m excited about the opportunity to share the ADA message with the Sharecare audience in a more personal way.
Sharecare’s dedicated Oral Health Twitter account @SCGetsMouthy will host a Twitter chat on 2/28 from 12-2PM ET with Dr. Mary Hayes, DDS, and Dr. Jonathan Shenkin, DDS, representing the ADA and Dante Gonzales, DMD, an orthodontist who serves on Sharecare’s editorial advisory board. “This Twitter chat is an opportunity for us to make a ‘house call,’ so to speak,” said Dr. Hayes, who practices in Chicago. “We want to clarify misconceptions and provide tips directly to parents and caregivers on how to keep children’s teeth healthy for life.” This two-hour event will be open to anyone who is interested in learning more about their child’s dental health.
To join the Chat-n-Chomp: Kid’s Dental Health Twitter event, search Twitter using the hashtag #CavityFightrs, which will bring up all tweets containing this hashtag, including questions, answers, retweets, mentions and promotional tweets. If you would like to follow the chat and ask these experts questions, include the hashtag #CavityFightrs in all of your tweets. Using the #CavityFightrs hashtag will easily identify participants who are part of the Twitter chat. If you don’t have a Twitter account, you can create one here www.twitter.com.
We hope you can join us to get tips for making oral care more manageable for your kids and to help us all push the conversation of health forward.
To your health,
